For those who were interested, the book we didn't choose for next month is The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. I just found out it is a Newberry Honor book.
It's the beginning of a trilogy. (I've read the first two.) It's a fantasy book set in kind of an ancient Greece kind of country. It's has a quest and politics. I think the romance (such as it is) doesn't begin until the second book, The Queen of Attolia.

I really liked The Thief. It has some great twists that keep you on your toes.
