Enchantment

Though this novel was written in 1999, I only recently came across it. I had only read one of OSCard's books, and was not convinced I would like his fairy tale style.

However, the book is extremely well written, the story is compelling and intelligent, and I enjoyed it very much.  It is a re-telling of Sleeping Beauty with actually very little in common with the original fairy tale. Besides the sleeping part.

I highly recommend it.

I agree. It was a good book and incorporates some different folk characters than I was used too. It was a fun read. And also clean (sometimes Orson Scott Card's stuff can be over the top).

I enjoyed it as well. It was one of the first books I had read by him.
